As Christmas trundles toward us, it is time to start thinking about the festive time of year. This is a time of year to rest, relax, and think about everything we have achieved – and those we have lost. New York City
Few cities in the world are more fun during the Christmas calendar than NYC. You can take in Christmas markets, theatre productions, and even sporting events – Madison Square Gardens more or less always has a Christmas NBA game on, even if the New York Knicks themselves aren’t very good!
This is a fun way to enjoy your time in New York and take in a wide variety of activities that you might not have considered going to previously.
London
If you don’t mind the fact that London is a country in itself, you should come here. London is beautiful during Christmas, lit up with gorgeous lights and décor everywhere. London also has many specific Christmas markets and activities such as ice skating. If you want to enjoy your time around Christmas then coming here can be a fun way to just let loose a little and see the world through a different prism.
Rome
The city of Rome is ideal for Christmas revelers, especially if you are of the Catholic faith. This is an iconic city for the religious, with places like St. Peter’s Basilica having a midnight mass on Christmas Eve. It is a great city for anyone, though, with the holiday markets at Piazza Navona to the trips around the Via del Corso. There is something to do for everyone, which is a big reason why Rome is such a great city to visit during the Christmas period.
Paris
If you fancy a romantic getaway – perhaps you intend a Christmas proposal. – then it would be remiss not to come and visit Paris. The French capital is a beautiful city in its own right, but it can feel even more special when you come here during the winter months.
Paris is a great place to visit, and if you stick around until the New Year you can see some amazing events taking place at the Champs-Elysees.
