The Philipines: Scuba Diving
The colorful reefs and crystal blue water of Coron Bay in Palawan invite people to explore the beautiful waters. But it is what lays deep down below that you want to be sure to check out. Beneath the surface of Coron Bay lays a well-preserved shipwreck. One of the island’s biggest attractions for tourists and locals alike is the underwater wreckage of the Okinawa Maru, a 560-foot Japanese fleet that sunk after a U.S. bombing during World War II.
Laos: Waterfall Jungle Trek
If you get out of the city of Luang Prabang and wander off into the jungle, you’ll hit a little town called Nong Khiaw. If hiking is what you are into, you will be sure to have a blast trekking along the Nam Ou River, walking through rice fields, climbing the forest-covered mountains, and exploring the 65-foot waterfalls. Be sure to bring a good pair of walking shoes and be prepared for slippery rocks.
Thailand: Rock Climbing
If rock climbing is your thing, then Railay Beach in Krabi, Thailand is a destination you can not miss out on. The Karst Cliffs offer climbers the perfect setting for deep water soloing, one of the most exciting parts of the sport. With no ropes, no cables, and no harnesses, climbers brave the rock, fully aware their climb will most likely end with a fall into the water. Luckily, these cliffs are terrain for all skill levels, so whether you are an expert or novice climber, the cliffs of Thailand will have something for you!
Indonesia: Volcano Mountain Biking
On Mount Bromo in East Java, thrill-seekers can hike or drive up an active volcano. You can make your way all the way up to the crater’s rim and mountain bike to the bottom, feeling the volcano’s roar, and intense heat the whole way down.
