Beautiful Celebrity Love Born On Set

Everyone loves to tell the story of how they met their significant other but when you are a celebrity your stories are cooler than most:

Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder

Depp and Ryder met on the set of Tim Burton’s classic movie ‘Edward Scissorhands’, and they certainly hit it off from the start.

Despite there being a huge age gap – Depp was 26 at the time and Winona was only 17 – it was certainly a big love connection.  Johnny Depp even had a tattoo saying ‘Winona Forever’.

Sadly the tattoo was to last longer than the relationship and the couple separated in 1992.  Depp obviously was left with the tattoo and came up with a unique solution – it now reads ‘Wino Forever’!

Funny Love

Ryder spoke affectionately of Johnny Depp when asked to comment on a court case involving the actor.

In 2016 his estranged wife Amber Heard accused Depp of domestic violence.  Ryder was clear that she had never had any such issues with Depp, stating that he was ‘never, never that way’, in their relationship.

That said, she did recognize that it was a long time since they had been an item.  Winona was 17 when she met Johnny and she is now 44 years old, but did say that she knew him as someone loving and caring, and a person who was very protective of his friends.

Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz

Javier and Penelope worked on a couple of films together, the first one being “Jamon Jamon” which was produced in 1992.

They did not become romantically involved until their second project with director Woody Allen, the movie, “Vicky Christina Barcelona”.

It was 2010 when they finally got married and since then Bardem remains completely enraptured by his wife who he describes as ‘sexy and feisty’.

Well, after all, he is married to Penelope Cruz!

Cruzed Love

Their third movie together was “Loving Pablo”.  In this 2017 movie Cruz plays Virginia Vallejo, a journalist, and Bardem is cast as Pablo Escobar, the infamous Colombian drug lord.

In an interview Bardem spoke about the fun side of working together and how making a project joyful and creative is essential to produce a great movie.

He also told E! News that they both focused on using their imagination to be sure that once shooting ended they would be able to get back to just being Javier and Penelope.

He spoke of the movie as an incredibly affirming and positive experience for them both as actors, and also as a real step forward in their personal lives.

The roles allowed them to develop in maturity and ensure that once off the set, their home life would continue to grow.

Blake Lively and Penn Badgley

Nowadays, of course, Blake Lively is married to Ryan Reynolds and they make a completely adorable couple.  In fact, their marriage is almost as popular on social media as their movies!

Back in the day though, a young Blake met Penn Badgley on the set of ‘Gossip Girl’ and the pair fell madly in love.

While their ‘Gossip Girl’ characters Serena and Dan got married the ending was not so happy for Blake and Penn.

Although they started dating in 2007, just like their on-screen characters, there was no series finale wedding for this couple who parted company in 2010.

Almost Worked

For most of their relationship the pair keep everything very quiet and played their cards close to their chest.

Blake told Teen Vogue that the reason for that was they were really concerned about how the network bosses would react if they heard about the relationship.

hey even hushed up their break up for the very same reason.

However, the pair wanted to be together so they decided that the only way it could really happen was to keep everything under cover.

In an interview with Vanity Fair the co-producer and writer of ‘Gossip Girls’ said that they had indeed kept everything hidden from the crew.

Not only that, it is such a difficult thing to pull off, to this day he has no idea how they did it.

It is a real testament to the pair as actors that they were able to go through a whole relationship, and a break-up and still manage to produce excellent results on screen.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum took the opposite tack and provided cute pics of themselves from the moment that they met back in 2006.

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum took the opposite tack and provided cute pics of themselves from the moment that they met back in 2006.

The duo met while on set filming the dance movie ‘Step Up’ and the onscreen chemistry soon translated over into real life and they became an item.

Sometimes love can not only survive the spotlight but if Channing and Jenna are anything to go by, it can also positive thrive.

In 2009 the pair got married and Jenna gave birth to their daughter in 2013.

Dance Love

Jenna likes to work out and in 2017 she shared a cheeky picture of her butt to her Instagram followers.

When asked she said she had posted it because she was really proud of how her workouts and especially her squats were going.  Tatum obviously had to chip in that he was the one who took and uploaded the picture!

Tatum has always been very vocal in his appreciation of Jenna – often complementing her body and her butt.

The ‘Kingsmen:  The Golden Circle’ told the red carpet paparazzi that Jenna had ‘a great boot’ when they asked about her dress.

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn

Jen was famously married to Brad Pitt but after they divorced (and more on this later) she started seeing Vince Vaughn.

The two met in 2005 on the set of the movie, ‘The Break Up’, which should probably have been a warning of some kind, however, the fans loved it and for a while, they were very loved up.

Sadly they broke up in 2006.

When asked about their relationship Vaughn said that all of the press attention had made dating Jen very hard.

Cool While it Lasted

That said, it seems like there is still a little affection between the pair.  Vince told Playboy Magazine that Jen is actually great.

It seemed that he loved spending time with her, and in their alone time everything was perfect, what spoiled it all was the constant attention from the press.

He also confirmed that many actors feel this way.

Sadly he also confessed that most of the time he spent with Jen he was more focused on trying to avoid the press attention.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux

Another on-screen romance for Aniston when she met her future husband on the set of ‘Wanderlust’.

It must be hard to meet people when you are busy acting, so meeting on set is probably the way to go.

Although the film bombed at the box office, Jen’s romance with Justin Theroux was much more successful.

Justin and Jennifer married in 2015 and their wedding was a closely guarded secret.  Sadly in 2018, the 2 decided to go their separate ways.

Cool While it Lasted #2

Jen suffered a fair few injuries in 2017 and she told Red Magazine that her main issue had been that she had messed up her back.

She soon got back into it with a 40 minute treadmill routine and getting in some gym time with personal training.

Another thing that Jen got into was The Class which is a combination of various different kinds of yoga and barre work.

Jen confesses that this has become a bit of an ‘obsession of mine’.  But it seems to work for her and that’s the main thing.

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield

Andrew Garfield’s Spidey senses were certainly tingling when he met redhead Emma Stone on her 2010 screen test for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’.

Andrew was immediately smitten, saying that the connection between them was instant.

Of course, when Emma was cast as his character’s love interest there was really no stopping things from developing between them.

The pair dated for around five years and although they were a little on and off they were a very popular celebrity couple.  In 2015 they parted for the final time.

Kiss Love

After the couple split in 2015, Emma was repeatedly asked about their relationship, particularly various rumors that the affair was still going on behind the scenes.

However, Emma refused to answer, saying that commenting only acted to fuel the media speculation on baseless hearsay.

Even responding with statements like ‘it’s not true’, was, she said, a recipe for disaster because the press will just keep pushing and spreading stories until they get a comment. She does seem to have the press figured out!

Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton

Dyer and Heaton met on the set of the hit TV show ‘ Stranger Things’.

As things started to hot up between their on-screen characters, in real life their own romance slowly started to grow.

In late December the couple were photographed kissing in Paris and also began appearing on the red carpet together.  We guess this makes it official!

Strange Love

Things could have worked out differently for the couple as Charlie was stopped by US immigration and almost jailed as he traveled to the premiere of ‘Stranger Things’ from London.

Apparently, this was not to do with him being arrested or anything sinister and he stressed that he had cooperated fully with the immigration personnel at LAX airport.

It seems that Charlie may still have some work to do satisfying the immigration officers that he is a reputable person.

The side of this story that Charlie did not go into was that the reason immigration stopped him at LAX was that a sniffer dog had identified him as having drugs when he arrived in the airport.

Fortunately, he didn’t have any drugs on him so they returned him to London instead of throwing him in jail!

Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli

Lauren Morelli was already married when she started a job as a writer on ‘Orange is the New Black’.

She was actually a newlywed at the time but she soon realized when working on the relationship between the show’s lesbian characters that she had been denying her own sexuality.

Realizing she was gay, Morelli ended her relationship with her husband.

Orange is the New Love

Samira Wiley was working on the show as the character Poussey and the two women found a connection.

Samira has spoken at the satisfaction she feels when people tell her how much they have enjoyed her character on the show and how they are affected by her portrayal of Poussey.

Wiley and Morelli married in 2017.

Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling

Women the world over fell into despair when Gosling started to date Rachel McAdams, his co-star in the move ‘The Notebook’.

The movie has become an icon of the romance genre and it does seem that the magic rubbed off on the two stars who started dating in 2005.

Looking at the passion in the movie it is hard to believe that this could just be good acting.

She Had Him!

Apparently, no one was surprised when the pair parted in 2008 – the word on set is that they simply did not like each other as actors.

At one point Ryan asked the director to replace her and bring in another actress as the love interest!

However, although it ultimately ended who can forget their kiss at the MTV Movie Awards!

Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes

Moving on a few years to the set of ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’ and Ryan Gosling meets and falls madly in love with Eva Mendes.

The couple has been together ever since but have kept themselves incredibly private with no photo shoots and only rarely appearing together on the red carpet.

It seems the pair are happy enough in each other’s company and it seems to be working well.

She Had Him #2

Keeping their private lives private has certainly paid off.

They have two beautiful daughters together and have been together for the last 6 years.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez

The remake of the movie Gigi in 2003 may have bombed at the box office but it was also the start of an intense love affair between Affleck and Lopez.

So intense in fact that the couple was known as Bennifer when they got together.  The couple actually got engaged but ended the relationship in 2014.

Lopez said that this was a hard time for her because of all the negativity in the press about the movie and her role.

Latin Love

At the same time that Jennifer was questioning everything, including her future as an actress, her relationship also began to crash and burn.

Ben was also having a bad time and said that this was a combination of the relationship and the poor movie.

He did point out at the time that it was just a bad movie, and under other circumstances, no one would care.

Ben felt that the fact that he and Jennifer were dating suddenly made the movie’s failure into a much bigger deal than it really was, causing heartache for both of them.

Dev Patel and Freida Pinto

Dev and Frieda starred together in ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ in 2007 but did not immediately become a couple despite their passionate relationship on screen.

The couple started to date officially 2 years later in 2009.

Although fans were delighted that the two had continued their relationship away from the cameras the couple broke up in 2014.

Love Again

Recently Frieda said that the end of their relationship was caused when she suddenly woke up and asked what it was she really wanted for her life.

She called it her ‘quarter life crisis’. It seems that one of the things she didn’t want any more was Dev.

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied

Natalie Portman gave a haunting and some would say terrifying portrayal of a ballerina teetering on the verge of a mental breakdown in ‘Black Swan’ but this was also where she would meet the man who would become her husband.

Portman met dancer Millepied on set and there was an immediate attraction between them.  When she won the Oscar for her performance Portman said that it was almost as good as finding her husband!

Dance Love #2

Natalie met Benjamin when he was working on the movie as the choreographer.

She gave birth to their son in 2011 and the pair married the following year.

Adam Brody and Leighton Meester

Fans were over the moon when these two talented actors got together after meeting in 2011 on the set of ‘The Oranges’.

The pair were already firm fan favorites from their teen characters Blair Waldorf and Seth Cohen so it all seemed to be in some way fated.

Family Strong

Brody and Meester are an extremely private couple and keep their personal lives away from their public one.

They welcomed Arlo, their first child, in 2015.

Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton

Billy Bob and Angelina met on set while filming the 1999 movie, ‘Pushing Tin’ and started dating the following year.

They were a pretty wacky couple and did a couple of pretty creepy things to demonstrate their love.

The most famous thing being wearing a vial of each other's blood as a pendant around their necks.

Fast Love

This was a whirlwind and passionate relationship but sadly it soon burnt out.

They married within 3 months of dating and were divorced by 2003.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson

When the stars of “Twilight” started dating the fans of the successful movie franchise were beyond delighted.

The two played love interests in the movies and certainly had a lot of off-screen chemistry too.

Their relationship lasted from 2008-2012 when a reporter managed to snap a pic of Rupert Sanders, the director of ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’, kissing Kirsten Stewart.

Moon Love

It all got pretty messy from there.

After some months Kirsten and Robert went their separate ways.

Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev

‘The Vampire Diaries’ was another vampire-based franchise to lead to romance.

The stars of the popular TV drama met on screen and although they were not romantically involved in the show, they certainly had a connection outside work.

Blood Love

This gorgeous couple seemed to have everything going for them but ultimately they were not to have a particularly long-lived relationship.

They only dated for 2 years from 2011-2013.

Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens

They met on set in 2006.

Life imitated art when High School Musical sweethearts Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez – played by Zac and Vanessa, took their romance off the screen and began a real-life relationship.

Cute Love

This perfectly sweet due were seen everywhere, and their pictures were featured in many outlets.

After a four-year romance fans were disappointed when the couple parted ways in 2010.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

Ben and Jennifer – of Bennifer #2 -  met on set when they starred together in Daredevil.

Despite meeting in 2003 they only started dating the following year, 2014, once Ben was no longer part of Bennifer #1.

The couple married and enjoyed a 10-year marriage and had 3 children together but sadly they parted in 2015.

Still Friends

The couple still enjoys a very close friendship.

They maintain contact with each other as they co-parent their children.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen

The movie ‘Jumper’ was released in 2007 and did fairly well at the box office, although it was not hugely popular with audiences or critics.

Rachel and Hayden met on set and by 2008 had already got engaged.

Despite the birth of their daughter, Briar Rose, the relationship was very on and off and the two never married.

Jumping Love

A few months ago the couple finally confirmed that they were separating for good this time.

However, they are still determined to co-parent their daughter.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds

Blake and Ryan are one of Hollywood’s most popular and delightful couples.

Reynolds is always full of praise and compliments for his wife, but they also love to troll each other on Instagram and Twitter.

They met on the set of Green Lantern in 2010 and started dating the following year.

Green Love

One of the charms of Blake and Ryan is the authenticity of the love they have for one another.

Fans just love their social media feeds and their appearances on the red carpet.  The couple married and now have two children.

Brad Pitt and Gwyneth Paltrow

This was one golden couple that really was too good to be true.

They even had the same haircut! They spent a few years together and then decided it was time to call it a day.

Puppy Love

Brad and Gwyneth started dating after meeting on the set of the hit movie  ‘ Se7en’.

They became engaged at one point but parted in 1997.  Gwyneth just didn’t feel ready to commit to marriage at that stage.

When asked later she said that she really had no idea how to give herself over to a relationship back then, it was only once she hit the age of 40 that she stopped sabotaging her personal relationships.

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser

There was a short but passionate romance when these two stars met on the set of ‘Mad Men’ in 2012.

Alexis was recruited to the show as a guest star and played Beth Dawes oppose Vincent’s character.

When Beth and Vincent’s on-screen affair took off it was pretty clear that there was some serious chemistry between the two.

So it was no surprise when they hooked up off-screen.

Chem Love

On the screen the romance was to end in tears but happily in real life things worked out so much better.

Alexis and Vincent married in 2014 and the following year their son was born.

Grace Gealey and Trai Byers

When Grace Gealey joined the cast of ‘Empire’ her on-screen character had flings with Lucious and Hakeem but gave Byer’s character a wide berth.  In real life, things couldn’t have been more different.

All their co-stars noticed immediately that there was a great attraction and chemistry between them and they were all anticipating them hooking up off-set.

Longtime Love

At the time Gealey was a bit dubious about dating a co-star, recognizing that things can get pretty difficult on set if something went wrong.

She told Fab Life that her advice to anyone else in the situation would be to make sure this was a long term thing rather than a fling to avoid problems at work.

It did work out well for these two though, they got married in 2017.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

When Pitt and Jolie hooked up on the set of the action movie ‘Mr. and Mrs. Smith’ Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

It caused quite a bit of scandal at the time with groups of fans polarizing into Team Jen and Team Angelina.

The chemistry between the two was second to none and the tension was almost palpable.

There was a lot of salacious gossip and rumor before Pitt left Aniston to live with Angelina.

The pair later married, although they parted in 2016 and are currently enduring a bitter divorce.

Love-Hate

Jolie confirms that their instant attraction and the fact that they worked so well together soon made them aware that they had something special and that they were going to be together.

She denies that anything was ever planned, it just happened that way.

Jolie and Pitt spent 10 years together and have numerous children together and these days they're fighting over custody.

Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin

When Moyer and Paquin met at their screen-test for the hit HBO show ‘True Blood’ there was a certain amount of attraction.

The pair had to part company but then after 3 months, they reunited on set.  Anna had become a blonde beauty and the chemistry began to bubble.

Blood Love #2

According to Moyer, he fell for Anna almost immediately on meeting her on the set.

He confesses that his story might sound a bit sickly but that he knew at that time he wanted to be with her forever.

Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray

It seems that being a co-star in a teen drama might be a great way to find love.

It certainly was for  Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray who met on the TV show ‘One Tree Hill’ and started dating.

Young love is unpredictable however and although the two were soon married it ended badly and they divorced after only 5 months.

Cuddle Love

It all became pretty awkward on set after the divorce – the two hated each other but managed to work together for a few more years.

Even years later Bush declined to make any comment when asked about Murray on the grounds that it was impossible for her to say anything good about him.  Blimey!

Rami Malek and Lucy Boynton

Academy Award-winner Rami Malek and co-star Lucy Boynton fell in love while filming the Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

The actor broke the news while accepting his Best Actor Oscar in February.

Two years on since meeting on set, the couple appears to be going strong as they were recently spotted out and about in New York City recently.

The 25-year-old English American who played Mary Austin, played the on-screen love interest of her 37-year-old American co-star.

Somebody To Love

In an interview during the 2019 BAFTA Awards, Malek mentioned he was searching for a home in London after "falling in love" with the city while filming Bohemian Rhapsody.

We might be seeing the couple on-screen together as an associate of the band Queen told Page Six that a sequel to Bohemian Rhapsody is "being heavily discussed in the Queen family".

The planned sequel will reportedly take place which begins with Live Aid, the 1985 concert where the original film ends.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis

Ashton and Mila met while they were filing ‘That 70s Show’ but they didn’t immediately fall in love.

In fact, it was a pretty long time before these two finally became a couple.

While the two were enjoying an on-screen romance, off screen they were involved with other people and it was only 16 years later that they finally fell in love.

Cute Love

Kunis was only 15 when she first kissed Kutcher back in ‘That 70’s Show’.

Ashton went on to marry actress Demi Moore and Mila also had her share of romance.  They met again in 2012, fell in love and now have 2 children together.

Kit Harington and Rose Leslie

Rose Leslie met Kit Harrington when she played a wildling girl who seduces John Snow in ‘Game of Thrones’.

Her character spent a lot of time telling John Snow that he ‘knows nothing’ but this obviously doesn’t apply to Kit.

Having got together in 2012 Kit certain knows something – and that is that he has met ‘the one’.  The pair have since married.

Knows Nothing

Kit knew the moment that he fell in love with Rose.

Apparently, the romance of the country and the Northern Lights played a huge role.

Having the chance to get up close and personal on set it was obviously very easy for the pair to fall madly in love.

We think it is a good thing the filming was done somewhere magical enough to give love a helping hand.
