Celeb Doppelgangers You Can't Tell Apart

Everyone has a doppelganger out there, and that includes celebrity friends! Sometimes they are last to know, though fans have already noticed the resemblance. Sometimes people get so confused they ask them to sign for their doppelganger.

Do you know which is which? It's okay, mixing them up could be forgiven:

Check out these celebrity doppelgangers with other celebrities!

Amy Adams & Isla Fisher

Which iconic redhead starred in the hit drama American Hustle? For those having a hard time figuring out if it was Isla Fisher or Amy Adams, all is understood. While Amy snagged that choice role, Isla said that she gets mistaken for Amy frequently!

And it's not just fans on the street, either. Once at an Oscar after-party, Lady Gaga commended her on her performance in American Hustle. But she got it wrong, too! Amy explained: "I'm thinking ‘Oh my gosh. It's Lady Gaga. I love her so much. I don't want to tell her the truth,...I just gracefully thanked her and bowed my head." At least she got a good story out of it! Amy's a pretty good-humored gal. How has Isla handled all of this?

Holiday Greetings From...

One year, Isla decided to play a prank on her friends and family by putting Amy’s face on her holiday greeting cards. What an absolutely mischievous plot! And against loved ones, no less.

Isla recalls, “My husband and I, actually, one year for our holiday greeting card, I cut and pasted Amy Adams’s face over mine. So it was Sasha, Amy, and the kids, and then we said, ‘Season's greetings from Sasha, Isla, and’—no one noticed. Everyone was like, ‘Oh your card was so cute.’ I’m like, ‘It was a joke! It’s not me—it’s Amy!" Very clever, Isla. We see what you did there!

Zach Braff & Dax Shepard

Scrubs star Zach Braff and comedian Dax Shepard joke often around on their Twitter accounts about their resemblance. For example, Dax posted this Tweet: “@zachbraff its been 2 hours since someone has pointed out that we look alike. I think Twitter might be broken!”

Dax is a comedic actor, too. It might be forgiven if the layman dies a double take. Fans know him from Without a Paddle, Employee of the Month, and Idiocracy on his long CV of laughs. He was even involved in Punk'd on MTV! Wife Kristen Bell probably has no trouble identifying him, but what about Zach? With so much similarity alleged by the public, does "J.D." Dorian, M.D. also get mixed up looking in the mirror?

Zach Responds

Maybe Zach doesn't get confused himself, but does he agree? Why, yes he does! The actor tweeted, “Dax! I am honored to be as handsome as you. There’s a buddy-cop movie with Ray Romano in this somewhere…”

They have actually already worked together, to an extent. In an episode of Punk'd, Zach unwittingly appeared on the program. Sneaky Scrubs man Donald Faison pranked him by having an actor spray-paint his brand-new Porsche. Thankfully, it was washable paint! Still, there should be a movie. We hope casting sees the truth about these two soon! With such facial similarity, it seems like a waste not to let them play brothers in a comedy someday.

Katy Perry & Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel has stated openly that she doesn’t like being confused with singer Katy Perry. Zooey was quoted as saying: "It's a little bit annoying, to be totally blunt." Maybe so, but what can be done?

Ironically, the 38-year-old New Girl actress is also a musician. Zooey said in an interview: "I always have loved music, ever since I was really little. I just loved to sing." Zooey’s retro band, She & Him is not well known, despite releasing several albums. By contrast, 33-year-old Katy Perry is one of the best-selling music artists of all time and holds four Guinness World Records. Zooey, we love you as an individual. But you do look a lot like Katy, admit it!

Sisters From Another Mister

While they look like sisters from another mister, their lives are so different. Katy is currently divorced and admitted that she would love to be married with children. Sounds old-fashioned, but underneath her flashy exterior is a motherly soul!

Zooey is also divorced, this time from Ben Gibbard, lead singer for The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie. Luckily, she got remarried to Jacob Pechenik, a film producer. They have two kids: Elsie Otter and Charlie Wolf. But they separated, as well! Zooey is legally single. In the meantime, maybe these two ladies should meet. Or better yet — dress up as each other for Halloween!

Taylor Swift & Karlie Kloss

These two celebrities have got it all. They are both successful and even dress alike. Taylor and Karlie are even longtime friends and part of a photogenic Instagram girl gang that fans can't get enough of on social media.

Tay recently wrapped up her sold-out Reputation Tour to critical acclaim and doesn't seem to be slowing down. Her previous tour grossed $250 million and became one of the highest-grossing tours of the decade. The Kloss is a newlywed to one of the most successful young businessmen in New York. Both seem to be doing well, and they are happy with each other! Or are they?

High Paid Model

The rumors are false, people. Karlie showed up at one of Taylor's concerts on her Reputation tour, effectively squashing rumors that they weren’t friends anymore. Phew!

Things are just fine, personally and professionally. At the moment, gal pal Karlie is one of the world's highest-paid models in the world. By age 25, she had already worked for brands such as L’Oréal, Swarovski, and Carolina Herrera. And she's not retired yet! We can't wait to see her face on a new campaign, but fans might need to look twice to make sure it's not Taylor Swift. "I'm the only one of me, baby, that's the fun of me," she sings.

Mark Wahlberg & Matt Damon

We confess we don't see the resemblance between Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg, but their fans get totally confused. How can that be, silly people?

Well, for some reason, it keeps happening. In one interview, Matt admitted the problem: "I’ve talked to Mark about this because he gets people who come up and say, ‘I love you in The Bourne Identity!’ So Mark and I have a deal. If we’re mistaken for one another, we have to be as polite as possible." What nice guys! Not every celebrity is so good-humored about being mistaken for someone else, frankly. Do these bros have a lot in common besides their good attitudes?

From Jail To Acting Fame

Maybe now, but not in the past! As it turns out, Mark worked his way up from the streets. As a teen, he was convicted of assault and was sentenced to 50 days in the Deer Island penitentiary. Who would have guessed? While behind bars, he began working out to pass the time and emerged physically transformed at the end of his sentence from a skinny young kid to a well-built guy. And the ladies weren't exactly unhappy about it!

Mark credits jail time as being his motivation to improve his lifestyle and leave crime behind him. He confessed: "There were moments where I knew I needed to get on the right course. Very sobering moments. As a 17-year-old adolescent hearing the jail door slam behind you, that's a very sobering moment. I had a very specific moment where I knew I needed to change my life, but when you decide to change your life and actually do it, that becomes a very challenging and uphill battle that you need to take on a day-to-day basis."

Mila Kunis & Vanessa Hudgens

Many remark on how That 70s Show star Mila Kunis and the High School Musical lead Vanessa Hudgens share more than a passing likeness. Just look at these brunette beauties, and see!

Mila certainly has a unique look for Hollywood. But in the average room, it's impossible to get any agreement on the most beautiful face in the world, or 'the sexiest man alive'. She commented on the phenomenon: "People strive to achieve a certain form of perfection constantly and it's impossible because it's a form of opinion. I can think someone is pretty but the person next to me can think that they're unattractive."

Happily Married

After her HSM days were over, Vanessa starred in three films that all flopped. Mila picked winners like Black Swan and Bad Moms. Is she a bad mom in reality, though? Sometimes life does imitate art!

No way! Fans know that was just a movie, and nothing more. Mila is married to actor and successful entrepreneur Ashton Kutcher. They have two children together, and really love being parents! Vanessa is currently wrapping up two film projects, but enjoying the single life.

Michael Cera & Jesse Eisenberg

Superbad actor Michael Cera has admitted that he and The Social Network actor Jesse Eisenberg get mistaken for each other regularly. So weird, right?

“I bumped into Jesse on the street once and he told me he gets it once a day, people think he’s Michael Cera,” Michael admitted to the New York Post. The Arrested Development star doesn't seem too offended, though. Jesse is a perfectly nice guy, after all. And both are really dominating that geeky niche, so they do have plenty in common. The logical question is, are these guys friends in real life?

No Facebook Account

Well, they absolutely aren't friends online. Is there some kind of secret grudge going on that fans need to know about? Michael and Jesse, be honest!

No, there's no real scandal to unpack. Despite Jesse’s spot-on portrayal of Facebook co-founder, Mark Zuckerberg, in The Social Network, Jesse himself does not have a Facebook account! Shocking, but true for now. Whatever the online status is with these two, it’s hard to deny the resemblance. Oddly, part of the mix-up is probably personality-related, not facial similarity. Both seem to play shy, neurotic characters in all their films. Will the typecasting continue? Maybe it's time to branch out, boys!

Liam Neeson & Ralph Fiennes

Brother from another mother? Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes might just be the origin of the phrase. Not only indistinguishable on-screen, but they are also best friends in real life! Fans say it all the time. But have they actually noticed and acknowledged the resemblance?

As it turns out, they are well aware of the issue. It has resulted in a few mix-ups, in real life! Liam explained: "So I've been complimented on winning a Tony Award for my Hamlet, he's been complimented on the Taken movie." Funny stuff, but has it gone any farther than that?

He Who Can Totally Be Named

In fact, it has. Liam admits he once signed an autograph as Ralph! But maybe Harry Potter fans are excluded from all the confusion. They're a sharp bunch, and they know Ralph Fiennes is famous for playing Lord Voldemort in the series. Delightfully terrifying, he was!

Ralph was thrilled about this achievement. He explained: “When children were introduced to Lord Voldemort, they looked suitably terrified. Which gave me great gratification.” Finally, a clear difference with Liam: Taken might have been a nail-biter, but he wasn't trying to scare the children!

Jodie Foster & Helen Hunt

Jodie Foster and Helen Hunt are both 90's icons. It's been a while since their biggest hits, but both have been confusing strangers in the meantime! According to Jodie: "I’ve been mistaken for Helen Hunt so many times and she for me. We talk about it a lot every time we see each other."

Must be a funny update, each time! So far, the stories are pretty good. Like once, a Starbucks barista mistook Helen for Jodie and wrote the wrong name on her cup! Another time, a supermarket cashier also confused both of them. But are these ladies being confused for looks alone, or is something more going on here in the minds of fans?

Winning Women

As it turns out, they do have a lot in common besides their smiles and hairdos. The two blondes are both in their mid-fifties, and both have Oscars on their mantles. But a refresher is needed. How did they win those awards, in their heyday?

Helen Hunt is only the second actress to win a Golden Globe, an Oscar, and an Emmy in the same calendar year. Jodie Foster became the second-youngest person to win two Oscars for Best Actress in a Leading Role. First, for her performance in The Accused. And then, for the movie no one will ever forget The Silence of the Lambs. Creepy, but classic!

Mamie Gummer & Leelee Sobieski

Same face, the same age, and actresses with totally different backgrounds. But both are pretty royal, in different ways! Mamie Gummer is Meryl Streep’s daughter — the Queen of Hollywood, no less. Leelee Sobieski is literally descended from the Polish King John III Sobieski. Full name: Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta Sobieski. No joke!

But as it turns out, Leelee is not as active as Mamie. After a career that included a role in Eyes Wide Shut, The Glass House, and Never Been Kissed, the Polish American actress decided to take a hiatus. What is motivating her to step away from Hollywood, these days?

Turning a New Page

Married with kids, Leelee quit acting some time ago. She explained: "I don't do movie stuff anymore. I am just focused on my kids. I think that's mainly why I stopped...Also, ninety percent of acting roles involve so much sexual stuff with other people, and I don't want to do that." A very personal choice, it seems!

Mamie is definitely still involved, though. And her career seems to be working out on TV and the big screen, with series roles on Emily Owens, M.D., The Good Wife, and The Good Fight, and film casting in Evening, Cake, and Side Effects, to name a few. Go, Gummer, go!

Jaime Pressly & Margot Robbie

Jaime Pressly and Margot Robbie: One is beloved from My Name is Earl. The other, The Suicide Squad. But seriously, which is which? Although actress Jaime is 13 years older than 27-year-old Margot, their social media fans all agree that they could be twins. Side by side, it's uncanny!

Jaime commented on the similarity: “Right, right, well that would be she looks like me! I think she’s great yeah, I’ve loved everything she’s done.” All in all, audiences love them both. And they love each other! Do they have anything else in common?

Death Defying Divas

Oddly enough, both have some intense experiences to talk about. Many may not be aware that Jaime almost died on one very infamous day. The actress almost purchased a ticket for a flight on one of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center on 9/11. But lucky for her, she isn't an early bird: Jaime didn't want to leave so early in the morning, and declined!

And Margot? This Australian recalled a snake attack on her mother: "I went down and she's on the driveway and there's this python, it was huge, it had wrapped its way up her arm and it's trying to strangle her around her neck...I knew, from that point on, any time mum asked me to help her move a giant snake to just do it."

Penelope Cruz & Paz Vega

Doppelganger is a German word, originally. But it's time to apply it to Spanish! Lookalikes meet soundalikes with Penelope and Paz, two peas in a pod. Both born in Spain, both sultry brunettes in a bottle-blonde Hollywood world. How do their careers compare, as a recap?

Penelope made her mark on the American movie scene in films like Vanilla Sky, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Fans loved her in All the Pretty Horses, too! In her free time, she is married to Javier Bardem and a mommy to two. What about Paz, though?

One of a Kind

Paz Vega was born María de la Paz Campos Trigos. It's no wonder she chose a stage name! Short and sweet, Paz has been featured in Sex and Lucia and Spanglish, as well as one of the Rambo installments. Rambo: Last Blood, to be specific! She too is a mom, with three kids so far. What doesn't she have in common with Penelope?

According to Paz: "I'm not the new Penelope Cruz. I'm Paz Vega. There's only one Penelope and she's marvelous." Sure, people compare them all of the time. But they have plenty of separate, big achievements to talk about!

Will Ferrell & Chad Smith

Will Ferrell had America in stitches from the moment he appeared on Saturday Night Live. For seven years, that didn't stop! As a regular cast member, audiences got very familiar with his face. No matter the costume, Will was easy to recognize. But somehow, no one caught on that he was a dead ringer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer!

Chad Smith is that man, and he challenged Will to a drum-off on late-night TV. The face competition was on, and only music could settle the score! How did that all go down, exactly?

Less Cowbell, More Drumstick

The story was a silly one, indeed. During a fan session online, Will admitted that he shared a resemblance to the famous Pepper. This prompted Chad to challenge him to raise money for charity. Obviously, this was going to involve something to his advantage: Drums! Did the comedian accept the fight?

Will is usually seen with a cowbell, but he was happy to try something new. The pair took turns performing many famous tunes, live on stage. Will's summary? He claimed Chad was “reduced to tears offstage. He kept it in, but once he ran offstage, he cried like a little girl.” Scar tissue, formed!

Thandie Newton & Zoe Saldana

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, some say. Thandie Newton and Zoe Saldana do have more than a passing resemblance, despite living oceans apart. Even Spice Girl Victoria Beckham once confused British actress Thandie with American actress Zoe. Besides their beautiful faces, what are their stories?

Thandie was born in London to a Zimbabwean mother and an English father. She currently stars in Line of Duty and Westworld. Zoe also has mixed ancestry, with Dominican, Haitian, Puerto Rican, and Lebanese in her family line. She's probably best known for Guardians of the Galaxy and Avatar. Both seem to like a little science fiction, don't they?

Future Forward

Indeed, they do! According to Zoe: ''I'm a sci-fi girl. If I can have anything in life, I'd want tons of great science-fiction movies and stories. It's so progressive, beautiful, and imaginative.'' Avatar is definitely a movie that fits that description, according to fans. And during its theater showing, the project earned $2.78 billion!

But Zoe isn't the only one who played a human hybrid. Who can forget Thandie and the bots? The actress explained their meaning, to her: "For me, Westworld, one of the things I actually love about the show is that I feel like the robots, the AI are metaphors for the dispossessed, the forgotten." Fascinating take, indeed!

Bryce Dallas Howard & Jessica Chastain

Quick, who starred in Jurassic Park? Was it Bryce Dallas Howard or Jessica Chastain? By looking at the pictures, it’s hard to tell. According to Bryce, the confusion has gone on for years! Both have been famous since their college days, and it became obvious to both on the streets of NYC.

Bryce recalled: “The first time I went into a Starbucks and I went up the cashier and went to order something and he was like, No Jess, your drink’s over there. I was like, No I haven’t ordered yet. I remember it was a little unnerving because he was so certain we were the same person.” What does Jess think of it all, in her corner?

Box Office Babes

According to Jessica, Bryce's famous dad Ron Howard once mixed them up, too! At an Apple store, he thought she was his daughter! That is a level of lookalike that cannot be faked. But they would only finally confirm the reality during The Help.

According to Jess: "When we finally got to film 'The Help,' the first time we met, we went to the table read and like looked at each other, because we both get it all the time, and we grabbed each other’s hands...We said, 'Let’s go to the mirror.' And we went to the mirror, and we, like, looked at each other, like at our faces, we're like, 'Yeah, we look exactly alike.' " Indeed, they do!

Minka Kelly & Leighton Meester

These 30-somethings are actresses whose close resemblance landed them starring roles in the thriller, "The Roommate”.

Minka can currently be seen in the TV series the Titans. She is the only child of former Aerosmith guitarist, Rick Dufay. Leighton can be seen on the TV series Single Parents.

Best Friends

Aside from looking alike, Minka and Leighton are the exact same height: 5'5".

Not only have Leighton Meester and Minka Kelly starred together in a movie but they are also best friends. They met in 2003 while filming separate commercials for the skin care product Clearasil.

Lily Collins & Camilla Belle

British-American actress Lily Collins and American actress Camilla Belle share the same mysterious countenance. From afar, it's easy to mix them up! Who can deny they look alike? Fun fact: Camilla's mother is Brazilian and therefore, Camilla speaks both English and Portuguese fluently. During childhood, she actually spent many seasons in Santos, Brazil. That's where her mom was born!

American culture has many messages about the right way to live and succeed. But Camilla works hard on maintaining a good work-life balance: “I always make sure to maintain a rich life outside of work so that when I’m not working, I’m not staying in bed depressed. I’m always proactive—I have a great life.” Sounds healthy, Camilla!

Classical Pianist

In addition to acting, Camilla loves playing the piano. Camilla played a few pieces in The Quiet and From Prada to Nada. Check it out to see the real deal! She is actually an aspiring classical pianist. A shocking secret!

And what about Lily Collins? It seems she is pretty busy these days when she is not being pegged as a Camilla doppelganger. Currently, she is wrapping up filming the TV mini-series version of Les Misérables. Will they ever unite on the silver screen? It seems like destiny if there is such a thing. Fans look forward to seeing both of these starlets together on a project soon!

Lea Michele & Idina Menzel

47-year-old Idina Menzel and 31-year-old Lea Michele played mother and daughter on the TV show Glee. And does that really surprise anybody? Look at these two!

Both talented sopranos were born in New York and worked on Broadway. Idina started singing as a teenager, while Lea was just eight years old when she began her career. Not a surprising casting decision at all, is it?

Top Ten Albums

The similarities don’t end there, however. They’ve both had albums in the Billboard top ten, and both enjoy volunteering for charities in their free time.

Sadly, they've also both suffered heartbreak: Idina split with her husband of 10 years (they have one child together) and Lea's boyfriend, Glee star Cory Monteith died of a drug overdose in 2013. It's great that these two know each other if they ever want an understanding ear in a tough biz.

Amber Heard & Scarlett Johansson

It’s a pity that Amber Heard, 32, is probably more famous for her short-lived, turbulent marriage to her Rum Diary co-star Johnny Depp than for her movie roles.

She is a talented actress who probably needs a better agent. But things might change with her upcoming movie Aquaman with Jason Momoa on December 21st. This could be a real blockbuster! But do actresses choose similar films these days?

Beautiful Black Widow

Indeed, they do! Amber’s "long-lost sister" 33-year-old Scarlett Johansson has enjoyed a string of excellent movie roles. She is well-known for her role as the Black Widow in the Marvel Superhero movies.

Hollywood seems to think both of these ladies add something to the superhero genre, and it's not random. If one fits the aesthetic, the other must too!

Reese Witherspoon & Brittany Snow

Reese Witherspoon became a fan favorite when she starred as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. A few years later, Reese won the best actress for Walk the Line. Currently, this busy mother of three can be seen on the small screen in the popular Big Little Lies. Reese, you're a busy bee!

But what is her doppelganger up to these days? Brittany Snow, tell us more!

Pitch Perfect

Brittany, 32, is popular for her musical role as Chloe in the side-splitting Pitch Perfect series. If you saw pictures of Brittany Snow and thought she was a young Reese, we wouldn’t blame you. They are both actresses with wholesome personalities, too!

Reese is about ten years ahead of her, so maybe an older sister role would suit this situation. Brittany should totally guest star on Reese's show, don't you think?

Rhona Mitra & Kate Beckinsale

British actress Kate Beckinsale is well known for her role as a warrior vampire in the Underworld franchise. Funny enough, her look-alike is the only other female lead in an Underworld movie. That would be Rhona Mitra, and there's no way that was a casting mistake!

Rhona really enjoyed being a vampire. She explained: "They're like rock stars. Vampires have a Keith Richard element to them...They're cool and delicious...And they don't have to have Botox."

Spooky, and true. But what isn't supernatural at all is the real-life similarity between the actresses. Both Kate and Rhona grew up in London were born in the 70s, and are renowned as actresses. The resemblance is uncanny, but what does Hollywood think about this look?

Pearl Harbor

After her role in Pearl Harbor, Kate revealed she didn’t fit the director Michael Bay’s idea of an actress. What in the Underworld was the problem? Fans want to know!

Kate explained: “I think he was baffled by me because my boobs weren't bigger than my head and I wasn't blonde...when he was asked about me, he'd say, 'Kate wasn't so attractive that she would alienate the female audience.' He kept saying it everywhere we went, and we went to a lot of places...I don’t think I fitted the type of actress Michael Bay the director had met before. I think he was baffled by me because my boobs weren’t bigger than my head and I wasn’t blond.”

Maybe not, but a bombshell nonetheless. Audiences had to be horrified by that story! Yikes, Michael.

Michelle Williams & Carey Mulligan

Carey Mulligan is the British version of Michelle Williams. They are both critically acclaimed actresses with similar expressions and clothing styles. Carey, 33, has starred in movies such as “Drive,” “Shame“ and “The Great Gatsby.”

These days you can find her on the TV mini-series Collateral. Carey married musician Marcus Mumford in April 2012 and they have two children together.

Do They Share The Same Stylists

Michelle Williams, 37, surprised us all when she sang so beautifully in the hit film, The Greatest Showman.

She is a woman of many accomplishments. Michelle is also the mother of Matilda Rose (whom she had with the late Australian actor Heath Ledger) and is currently married to composer Phil Elverum.

While the two actresses are not related they might share the same stylists.

Tobey Maguire & Jake Gyllenhaal

These two underrated actors actually played siblings in the drama "Brothers". Additionally, Jake Gyllenhaal nearly replaced Tobey Maguire in the Spiderman series.

It happened when Spiderman director, Sam Raimi, met with Jake Gyllenhaal when it looked like Tobey wasn't going to return for the sequel if he didn't get a raise.

After getting his way, Tobey was paid $17 million to return for the sequel, so his stalling tactics worked and he actually got a $13 million raise.

It Runs In The Family

Jake began his acting career at the age of eleven, in the comedy-drama City Slickers, playing alongside Billy Crystal.

Jake’s sister is actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, and they were cast as brother and sister in the dark thriller Donnie Darko. He and his sister are the first siblings to be Oscar-nominated for acting this century.

Carey Mulligan & Ginnifer Goodwin

You probably recognize Ginnifer Goodwin from her roles in Walk The Line, He’s Just Not That Into You, and Big Love.

Ginnifer said in an interview with InStyle Magazine: "I get mistaken for other actresses with short hair, which cracks me up. Actresses I look nothing like, but actresses who at some point had short hair.

"Lately, I’ve been getting a lot of Carey Mulligan or Maggie Gyllenhaal." Even though she doesn’t want to admit it, there is a bit of a resemblance between these actresses.

Dream Come True

One of Goodwin's biggest dreams in life was to play a Disney princess. Her dream came true when she was cast as Mary Margaret Blanchard in the TV series Once Upon a Time. She co-starred with her husband Josh Dallas.

Ginnifer was 8 months pregnant when she completed filming the 3rd season of Once Upon a Time. She returned to work 6 weeks after giving birth to her son Oliver to begin filming the next season of Once Upon a Time.

She was also pregnant with her second son when filming the TV series.

James McAvoy & Ewan McGregor

Split actor James McAvoy, 39, admitted that fans confuse him with the Scottish actor, Ewan McGregor, 47.

Speaking about one particular incident on 'The Late Show with David Letterman' the actor recalled: ''I was in the gym not too long ago and this really nice little Argentinian girl came up to me and she was like, 'I love your films' and I was like, 'Thank you very much.' 'Is there any chance of getting a picture?'

''...She said to me, 'I also love your TV shows by the way,' and I was like, 'That's interesting, I haven't done a TV show in a good few years.' '' she goes, 'Especially the ones when you're on the motorbikes going around the world,' and I was like, 'Oh, she thinks I'm Ewan McGregor!'

Cheapest Scottish Actor

The fellow Scot also joked that he only got his role in the movie 'The Last King of Scotland' because he was the cheapest actor with a Scottish accent. James broke his hand on the set of Split after he got angry when the scene didn’t go the way he anticipated.

He became so angry with his performance that he punched a door, which he thought was a fake door, but was actually a solid metal door. The audience can see that James's hand is injured during the scene where he's on a train and he's putting on his glasses.

Heather Graham & Teri Polo

Heather Graham wowed audiences as Felicity Shagwell in the 1999 Austin Powers sequel which was a box-office hit.

Ten years later she played the stripper-with-a-heart-of-gold Jade in The Hangover, which made $467,483,912 worldwide at the box office. Graham can currently be seen in the TV Series Bliss.

Turned Down A Famous Role

Heather even turned down the role of Pam Byrnes in Meet the Parents that went to Polo making her famous.

Polo is divorced with one child. She can be seen nowadays in the TV Series, The Fosters.

Adam Sandler & Jason Biggs

American Pie star Jason Biggs, 40, says that fans rarely remember his name and instead confuse him with funnyman Adam Sandler, 51, who is currently starring in Netflix films.

Jason admitted people think he is Adam, "I find that a lot of people, especially abroad, will recognize me but they don't know my name and they can't put it together.

"The more famous version I guess they put in their mind is Adam Sandler. I get that a lot. They recognize the face, they certainly don't know who Jason Biggs is."

Can't Put The Name To The Face

Adam Sandler got his start in 1990 when he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live. After Saturday Night Live, Adam starred in a string of hit movies including Airheads, Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Big Daddy, and Mr. Deeds.

He has his own production company, Happy Madison, which is named after two of his films, Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison.

Sofia Vergara & Madison Beer

New-York native, Madison Beer, could easily pass as Sofia Vergara’s daughter. Madison is a 19-year-old singer who was discovered by none other than the teen sensation Justin Bieber who tweeted a link to a video of her singing a cover of Etta James' "At Last" to millions of his followers.

Justin also signed Madison to the same record label he is signed to Island Records. Madison and Justin also share the same manager, Scooter Braun.

Modern Family

The lovely Colombian-born Sofia Vergara, 46, stars in the ABC series Modern Family.

Sofia has been nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards. In real life, she is married to actor Joe Manganiello and has a son from a previous marriage.

Ryan Reynolds & Ryan Gosling

While some fans see absolutely no resemblance whatsoever, many people think that the two Ryans could pass as twins. So let’s examine their similarities. They are both Canadian, stand over 6 feet tall, and they got their start on TV.

They are both married with two children. Their partners are famous actresses. Reynolds is married to Gossip Girl star Blake Lively. While Gosling is in a very private relationship with Hitch star Eva Mendes.

Fear Of Flying

It might not come as a surprise that the Deadpool superhero has a fear of flying since he once went skydiving and the parachute failed to open at the first attempt.

The La La Land actor meanwhile is an accomplished jazz guitarist in real life. He started a band with his friend Zach Shields called Dead Man's Bones. Gosling was the first Canadian-born performer in over 60 years to be nominated for the Best Actor Oscar in Half Nelson.

Hilary Swank & Jennifer Garner

While true fans of these actresses would never confuse them, the general public certainly gets them confused. Hilary Swank said in an interview that she gets mistaken for Alias star Jennifer Garner, 46, all the time.

Apparently, this can get uncomfortable for both Hilary, 44, and Jennifer, 46, because fans don't take "no" for an answer when it comes to autographs.

Angry Fans

Hilary said that fans got mad at her because she refused to admit she was... Jennifer Garner.
