Is your favorite perfume in a nice spot in your closet, on the shelf in the bathroom, or your nightstand? You would think that the place where your perfume is not that important, but according to an expert, it is better not to keep your perfume in these places.
Fragrance disappears slowly
With a nice bottle of perfume, we tend to put it in a nice place. Yet the place where you store perfume is important for its shelf life. Is your perfume in a warm or bright place? Then, according to Mark Knitowski of Victoria's Secret Beauty, your perfume won't last as long and the intensity of the scent will slowly fade.
Storing perfume in the refrigerator
But where is the best place to store your favorite perfume? You do so in a cool and dry place. The refrigerator is the perfect place for this: you even increase the life of your perfume by two years if you store it in the fridge. The best place in the fridge is the door because there is less chance of the perfume getting too cold.
Aluminum foil
We understand that you may not like to keep your perfume between all the food and drinks. In that case, you can also wrap the bottle in aluminum foil and put the wrapped bottle in a closed closet. The downside, of course, is that you can't enjoy the pretty bottle, but at least the scent stays smelling nice for much longer. And that's what it's all about in the end, right?
