We’ve all gone through it. Opening up your luggage again to look for the boarding pass that you were sure was in your jacket pocket. It takes forever to look for it and you end up with impatient glares from the people behind you in line. Avoid uncomfortable situations next time you're at the airport with these tips!
Being Unprepared
Start by making a list. The list should include all the things that you will need when you are at the airport. Start with the basics – boarding pass, identification, your passport. These are the three basic documents you must have on you when you are about to get on to the plane. Make sure you pack them well in advance to avoid leaving them behind.
Pack Systematically
Make sure that your packing is just as organized. To avoid forgetting ‘where you put your passport’, put your essential documents and maybe some money in a small pouch while you go through airport security. Do the same with all your other stuff, pack items like toiletries and other essentials that you might need in a small bag which is easy to carry.
Prohibited Items
This might sound a bit obvious, but even if you're well informed on the common rules, lots of travelers still pack prohibited items with their carry-ons most of the time, and without realizing it. To avoid any issues, make sure you cross-check all items you've put in your luggage and see if you’re carrying anything that might get you in trouble at the airport.
