Huay Xai
If you like the idea of being a bit more adventurous, then you should come to Huay Xai. This is a wonderful treehouse-laden area that allows you to easily travel from treehouse to treehouse as if you are a Gibbon. It is a great experience, and it is also home to the stunning Bokeo Nature Reserve. It is also a chance to cruise along the Mekong River, which opens your eyes to some truly mesmeric and stunning sights along the way.
Than Phu Cave
The Than Phu Cave is a must-see if you are a fan of natural geography. This looks amazing to see inside and it can be fun to explore. Just make sure you come with a guide, as it can be quite challenging to navigate through the cave system on your own. If you do come here, though, make time to see the bronze Buddha statue – it is a local landmark, and definitely something you should want to see.
Luang Prabang
This amazing natural sight is one of the best places to visit in all of Laos. It is a great experience that allows you to enjoy seeing a real waterfall that allows for easy jumps into large, natural deep pools. It is a truly awesome experience, and this town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As such, it is kept in near-pristine condition and it is made very easy to come and visit people of all personalities.
Vang Vieng
Vang Vieng is a wonderful place to visit if you want to enjoy some riverside partying. This is a fun experience that can be great for those who are simply here to party and let their hair down. Tubing along the Nam Song River is a special experience, and it can provide you with some amazing views whilst you enjoy one of the many famous beer brands found around here.
